Joseph Manion

Joseph Marshall Manion, age 76, of Chester, VA, died on Friday, February 1, 2008. Born in New York, NY, he was the son of Marshall J. and Esther Gooden Manion. Joe received a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Georgia Tech in 1967. He was currently employed by the Commonwealth of Virginia with the National Guard. Joe was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, the American Institute of Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Public Accountants. He was preceded in death by his infant son. He is survived by his wife, Annelle B. Manion; son, Edward J. Manion of Henrico; brother, Charles E. Manion and wife Terry of Salisbury, MD; sisters, Eileen Fulton of Reston, VA, Anne Manion of Milwaukee, WI; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow there on Friday, February 8 at 2 p.m., with interment in Sunset Memorial Park.
