Joseph â??Joeyâ? Maurice Shepherd Moore. On Friday, April 8th at 7:00 p.m., God in his infinite mercy and wisdom called Joey to a life of eternal rest and everlasting peace, freeing him from the consistent pain and illnesses that he had endured for a period of time. Joey was born September 25, 1979 to Cynthia Moore and the late Joseph L. Moore, who preceded him in death July 26, 2010. He was previously employed as a nationally registered EMT with Southside Virginia Emergency Crew and the Hopewell Emergency Crew. Joey was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marci Moore and daughter, Lily Denise Moore; a brother, Gerald P. Moore; grandparents, Maurice and Jane Moore, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13th at Blandford Cemetery.
