Joseph Dean Mosconi, 61 of Petersburg, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at his fatherâ??s residence. He was the son of Louis John Mosconi and the late Rachel Rose Temple Mosconi. He was a retired Iron Worker for Local 28. He was an avid enthusiast of Harley motorcycles along with loving to jog and run. He enjoyed traveling especially South Dakota, Big Horn mountains, Grand Canyon and the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. He loved western movies and his adopted rottweiler Sable. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Ruby Jean Payne Mosconi of Petersburg; two daughters, Kathy Moore of Matoaca, Shari Livengood and fiancé, Ray Edwards of Colonial Heights; three sons, David Moore of Richmond, Houston Steven Moore and Michael Moore both of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren, Samantha Phillips and fiancé Jon and Jesse Phillips all of Dinwiddie; Allen Dale Wood, Jr. and wife, Amanda of Colonial Heights; Angela N. Moore and fiancé, Tom Sharpe of Chesterfield, Jeffery Moore and fianceé, Tonya Miles of Richmond; nine great-grandchildren, brothers, Louis John Mosconi, Jr. and wife, Dusty of Dinwiddie and James W. Mosconi and wife, Chris of Greenville, PA., numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 7, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
