Joseph Allen Seymore

Joseph "Joe" Allen Seymore, of Chesterfield County, Virginia, was born in Lee County, Virginia, on October 12, 1964 and died suddenly on August 25, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Stella Mae (Pennington) Seymore; sister, Retha S. Banks; fraternal grandparents, G. C. and Ella Seymore; maternal grandparents, Ezra and Eliza Pennington; and one niece, April Mae Seymore.
Joe was known for his skills on the guitar and other instruments, as well as being a talented artist and writer of poetry/songs. He attended Thomas Dale High School and served in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Brown, of Seattle, Washington; his sisters, Theda J. "Joy" Jenkins (Charles), Sharon K. Seymore, and Mary D. "Debbie" Nelson (Stacey); his brothers, James C. Seymore (Linda), Roger D. Seymore, and Robert J. (Jeff) Seymore; five nieces, five nephews, and many grand-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. (Appropriate casual attire) Family visitation will follow immediately after memorial service. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.
