Joseph Valentine Thomas Jr.

Joseph Valentine Thomas, Jr., 75, of Chesterfield, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Valentine Thomas, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Myrna Swindell Thomas; two daughters, Joanne Preece and husband, Les, Jr., and Jennifer Thomas; grandchildren, Les Preece, III and Jackie Gregory and husband, Tim; and great-grandson, Liam Gregory. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, 203 N. 11th Avenue, Hopewell, VA 23860, on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Richmond, 4600 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.
