Josephine Ferguson Allen

Allen, Josephine Ferguson, of Chester, went to be with the Lord on July 12th, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther G. Allen; and her son, Larry G. Allen. She is survived by her sons, Marty Allen and Cleve Allen; 2 sisters, Laureen Johnson and Shirley Cook; and a brother, Howard Ferguson. She also had 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She also had 2 loving mothers of her grandchildren, Kim Allen (Marty) and Laura Allen (Cleve), who took care of her and loved her dearly and were equally loved by her. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Josephine was a devout Christian woman who loved feeding the birds and squirrels. She kept up with birthdays, even in her final years, and would call and sing happy birthday to you. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16th, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. An 11:00 am funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17th, at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Rd. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
