Josephine Blake

Josephine Frances Blake, 63, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 29 years. Mrs. Blake enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching; and she loved shopping. She especially liked spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Blake is survived by her husband, Charles Blake; son, Kevin Hamel and his wife, Sherry; daughters, Melissa Bowles and her husband, Michael, and Kimberly Privette and her husband, Phillip; grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Brittany, Codie, Collin, and Madison; sister, Muriel Sytnik and her husband, Johnny; brother, James Hamel and his wife, Linda; and her extended church family. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Arthur Lands, with a time of food and fellowship to follow. Interment will be private.
