Ms. Josephine Reid Carwile, 83, of Prince George, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 in Riverview on the Appomattox. She was born in Appomattox , Va and was a long time resident of Woodstock, Va . She was a member of Grace Baptist Church where she was active with missionary correspondence until her health failed then becoming a proud prayer warrior. One of her biggest accomplishments was her foster children and reaching out to help others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ruth Reid, a brother, David C. Reid, sisters, Bessie Foldesi and Eva Barker and a nephew, David Foldesi. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Marie Thompson and husband, Wilbur of Woodstock and Deborah A. Crocker and partner, John Timperio of Prince George, a son, Alfred D. Carwile, Jr. and wife, Sharyn of Greensboro, N . C., three grandchildren, Steven Thompson, Marshall Pauley and wife, Sara and Monica Pauley, two great-grandchildren, Dyllan Scott Garber and Megan Lillie Pauley, three nephews, David Reid, Jr., David Barker and Keith Foldesi, three nieces, Barbara Lewis, Betty Cole and Tammy Taylor and her extended family include Michael Timperio, Courtney, Nathan and Kendra Peterson and Josh Agner. The family will receive friends Monday , April 5, 2010 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service from 7 to 8:30 P.M. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Sunset View Memorial Gardens, Woodstock. Following the graveside service, family and friends will gather at Grace Baptist Church on Hoover Road for refreshments and fellowship. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com .
