Josephine King

Josephine "Josie" Hunt King, of North Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the age of 78. Josie was born in Derrinacartha, Ballaghaderreen in County Roscommon, Ireland. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Hunt; sister, Marian Hunt, all were residents of County Roscommon, Ireland. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Raymond Hunt, of England.
Josie is survived by her daughters, Colleen Bennett and Catherine Richardson, of Chesterfield, VA; son-in-law, Mark Bennett; and grandson, Tyler Bennett. She is also survived by brothers, Michael and John Hunt, of counties Roscommon and Cork, Ireland, respectively.
Josie worked for over 35 years for the Chesterfield County School System. There she especially enjoyed working with and helping special needs children, and assisting teachers with Pre-K through 5th Grade.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
Josie will return to her native Ireland, where she will rest in comfort and eternal peace, next to her parents and beloved sister, Marian.
