Josephine E. Tench, 92, died August 2, 2024. Josephine was born in 1932, in Louisa, VA, to the late Manning and Annie Johnson. She was the youngest of eight children, a devoted mother, grandmother, and recently a great-grandmother. Josephine worked as a telephone operator in communications. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had many talents. She loved to craft, crochet, and sew. She also enjoyed sitting out on her front porch. Josephine enjoyed traveling and being a part of the Red Hat Society. She gave her all being there for everyone and enjoyed making friends.
Josephine is survived by her sons, Bruce (Dolly) Tench and Dennis Tench; daughter, Kathleen Tench; granddaughter, Kendall Tench; and great-granddaughter, Hunter Hatcher.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Bruce F. Tench II and Edwin Tench; and son, William A. Tench.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 10:00 am, at Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, Virginia, 23805.
