Joshua Rodney Horne

Joshua Rodney Horne, 30, died Monday, October 4, 2021. Josh was born on Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC, he is the son of Debbie Lynn and Jerry Lee Horne, Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry L. Horne, Sr. and Robert A Guentzel. Josh is survived by his parents, Jerry L. Horne, Jr and Debbie L. Horne; siblings, Jared L. Horne, Teresa J. Broach, Jerry L. Horne III; fiancée, Sophie R. Shaw; grandparents, Ed and Betty Brett, Martha Gothard, JoAnn Horne, and Bev Guentzel. Joshua worked as a mechanic but loved fishing, playing guitar and on-line gaming. He was a caring and gentle son, brother and grandson who had dreams and aspirations of one day earning his wings as a pilot. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
