Jospeh Bass

Joseph Lee “Joe” Bass, 57,of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 3, 2004 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Kinton Bass; son, Michael E. Bass; daughter Ashley M. Bass and her special friend, Travis C. Smith; granddaughter, Shannon Lee Bass; and his beloved Jasper; his mother Barbara W. Bass; two brothers, R. David Bass and Roy B. Bass; aunts, Alice Baggette, Jean Spease, and special aunt, Lucille Campbell; father and mother-in law, Clyde and Ella Kinton and numerous other relatives and friends. Joe served in the U.S. Army, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. He was an employee of E.I.. Dupont for 32 years. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Chester Chapel on Sunday, December 5, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday, December 6, 2004 from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. and from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. in the J.T. Morriss & Son Chesterfield Chapel with interment to follow at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, Virginia
