Joy Nicole Burns

Joy Nicole Burns, 36, of Chester, VA passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Joy was born in Petersburg, VA on December 16, 1982 and was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Robert and Doris Wilder; and her paternal grandparents, Joseph III and Rita Burns. Joy had a deep love for her family and she will be dearly missed by all of them. She is survived by her mother, Lauren Wilder Burns and husband, Joseph Childress; her father, Joseph L. Burns, IV and wife, Marcia; a brother, Joseph L. Burns, V and wife, Amy; a sister, Terri Wayne; and three nieces, Katilyn, Kassidy and Khloe. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
