Joy Ann Sexton

Joy Ann Sexton, 57, of Prince George, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Ray and Marceline Marie Daniels. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lee Daniels. Joy was an avid reader, enjoyed working with arts and crafts, loved country music, and adored all animals. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Roy Sexton; two daughters, Michele Vassar and Josie Howard and her husband, James; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Collier, Alec Howard, Micheal Read, and Sean Read; five siblings, Gracie Edwards, Racine Abrams, Henry Daniels, Christal Bates and her husband, Sam, Charlene Scott; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; two special friends, Cheryl Charles and Debbie Dail; and special cat, Speckles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 am on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
