Joyce Jefferson Ford

Joyce Jefferson Ford, 80, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late James Jefferson and Madeline Brinn Golden. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James B. Ford; daughter, Rhonda R. Childress; and brother, James H. Jefferson. In her spare time, Joyce loved to play her Q-Cord and sing. She enjoyed going to baseball games and bird watching, particularly hummingbirds. Her greatest passion was her family who she loved dearly. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Price (Sam), Sandy Bridgeman, and Kim Hall (Mike); five grandchildren, James Nathan Travis Childress (Jena), Chastity Dawn Hise (Russell), Rhonda Danielle Ellis, Dallas Nickole Price, and Brett Corinne Price; seven great-grandchildren, Maddaux, Kennedy, Stella, Roy, Makayla, Ansley, and Eric. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
