Joyce Overton Waddill

Joyce Overton Waddill, age 82, of Chester, VA died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center. Joyce was born on September 15, 1934 in Victoria, VA, daughter of the late Willie Verne Overton and Mary Cox Overton. She was a loving wife and mother. Joyce worked at the Chesterfield County Clerk of Court office for many years. She was an active member of Chester Baptist Church. Joyce is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, James T. Waddill III; and brothers, Larry Overton and Billy Overton. She leaves her sons, James T. Waddill IV and wife, Colette and Jeffrey O. Waddill and wife, Nicole; and a daughter, Jennifer Alys Waddill. She also leaves five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Braswell, officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G.
