Jr. A. Dudley

William Archer Dudley, Jr. 91, of Beaumont Texas, formerly of Petersburg, Virginia, died on Saturday, March 21, 2009. He was the son of the late William A. Dudley, Sr. and Avaree McLaughlin. He was the widower of Doris S. Dudley. He was a retired Petersburg Firefighter of 27 years service, a Mason of Blandford Lodge, and served in World War II of U.S. Army. He is survived by three daughters, Vivian Washington of Texas; Betty Starks and husband, Bill of Chester, VA; Cathy Rainey of Sutherland; VA; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews, sisters; Evelyn Worley of Oklahoma City, OK., and Margaret Denton of Waynesboro, Virginia.. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, March 30, 2009 at Southlawn Memorial Park where interment will follow. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
