Robert Columbus Hauser, Jr. â??Bobâ?, 76, of Dinwiddie passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of R.C. Hauser Trucking for 34 years and was well known from all around for his BBQ and hush puppies that he prepared for numerous community and church events. Bob is survived by his wife of 21 years, Frances Boze Hauser; children, Donald Wayne Hauser and wife, Patty, Linda Green Ashworth and husband, Frank, Pamela Green Comer and husband, Robert, and Jennifer Lynn Joyner and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Cindy Lawton and husband, Will, Dana Vaughan, Michael Ashworth, Jessica Cook and husband, Paul, Marie Swartz and husband, Matt, Candace Comer, Matthew Comer, Alex Comer, Audrey Joyner, Ethan Joyner and William Joyner and a great grandchild, Alycia Cook. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Smyrna Baptist Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
