Robert Chalmers Laughlin, Jr. of Prince George County, VA, better known as â??Chamâ? has moved on to be with his mother and father in heaven. He leaves behind a son, Christopher Laughlin of Prince George; four grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Rheanna, and Makenzie, all of Prince George; a brother, Thomas Laughlin of Prince George and a sister, Susan Fogg of Glenn Allen. His short time here on earth was well lived and he left something with everyone he knew for which he will be remembered for many years to come. He was best known for his musical abilities and for all of the people he helped get their careers started at his own expense and selflessness. His love for music started at the age of 5 playing the drums and moved on from there to playing any instrument you put in front of him. He participated in many ventures in the music industry from recording in his own studio to playing in many bands such as Aaron, Purple Haze, Dream, Linda Smith and Live Wire, and Cham Laughlin and Cloned Essence. He also provided sound for many venues. He will truly be missed for he was one of the most generous men you would have ever met. He blessed everyone he touched. A memorial service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends following the service. Condolences may be registered at
