Jr., Carroll Lindsey

Vernon Carroll Lindsey, Jr., 73, of Hopewell, VA, died Thursday, December 24, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Lindsey was born in Richmond, VA. He was the son of the late Vernon C. Lindsey, Sr. and Hannah Witt Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was a retired Route Salesman for Pepsi Cola Bottling Co.. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Stancil Lindsey of Hopewell, VA, a daughter, Debbie Jo Hope of Richmond, VA, a step-daughter, Janice Adams of Tampa, FL, two step-sons, Joseph G. Garner of Indianapolis, IN, Raymond A. Garner, Jr. of Chester, VA, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, December 28, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.. at the mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA with the Rev. Ronald West of Colonial Heights Baptist Church officiating.
