Jr., D. Woodard

Bedford D. Woodard, Jr., age 76 of Chester, passed away December 18, 2011. He was the son of the late Bedford D. Woodard Sr. and Mae Belle Herrell Woodard Guenther, and was also preceded in death by his son, David Woodard III; and brothers, Bedford Herrell Woodard, Sr., James David Woodard (J.D.), and William E. Woodard, Sr. Bedford is survived by his loving wife Claudie Agee Woodard; sons, James Steven Woodard and late wife Crystal Dawn Hayth Woodard, John Walter Woodard and wife Kimberly, Mark Bradley Woodard and wife Cathy; granddaughters, Jennifer Marie Woodard Leahy, Brandy Marie Sandford, and Jessica Maye Woodard; grandsons, James Steven Woodard, Jr., Jerry Lane Collier, Curtis Lee Woodard, Gregory Scott Woodard, and Justin Kyle Woodard; great-granddaughters, Ariyanna Lynn Galbraith, Colleen Patricia Leahy and Madeline-Elise Letti Sandford; and siblings, Virginia W. Wilson of Seaford, DE, Margaret Sue W. Richard of Lincolton, NC, Della W. Delbridge of N. Chesterfield, VA, and Robert L. Woodard of Deltaville, VA. Bedford was the owner of Truby Motor Company in Chester and served his country in the National Guard. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, December 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chester chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with funeral services to follow on Thursday, December 22nd at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. Condolences may be sent to www.jtmorriss.com .
