Jr. Duncan

Walter E. Duncan, Jr., 88, of Chester passed away on Saturday February 12, 2011. Mr. Duncan was born in Christiansburg, VA and had been a long time resident of the Chester area. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter E. Sr. & Maggie Richardson Duncan, son; Wally Duncan, and a brother; Buster Duncan. Mr. Duncan was a lifetime member and former officer of the Southern Knights Cruisers, Inc, The Oldies But Goodies Car Club and was retired from the Maintenance Department of Firestone Fibers, Inc. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife Laura S. Duncan, daughter; Gayle Livingston and husband John, son; Rick Duncan and his fiancée Cheryl Rackley, grandchildren; Sherri Carmony and husband Darrell, Andria Dender and husband Mike, Sasha Rackley, Kimberly Livingston, great grandchildren; Justin Duncan, Haley Carmony, Lily Dender, Karina and Kristian Livingston, brother; William V. Duncan and wife Frances, sister; Lucille Sumner, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, where services will be held 1:30 pm on Wednesday February 16, 2011. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
