Jr., F. Haddon

Charles Forrest Haddon, Jr., 84, of Dinwiddie, widower of Nancy B. Haddon, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Charles Forrest and Laura Hales Haddon. In addition, he was preceded in death by an aunt, Essie Mae Fairchild. Mr. Haddon served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was the owner and operator of Floors by Haddon for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer and Washington Redskins fan. He is survived by his children, Alan Haddon of Petersburg, Susan Fulcher and husband, Bill of Carson, Kirby Haddon of Port Orange, FL, and David Haddon and wife, Dana of Virginia Beach; granddaughter, Melissa Dereski; great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Payton Dereski; and his devoted friend, Charlene Risner of Petersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Mausoleum at Southlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Livesay officiating.
