Worther Guy Becker, Jr., 92, of Petersburg died on Sunday, January 25, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Worther Guy Becker, Sr. and Lillian Reynolds Becker and a sister, Peggy Coleburn. Ace was a graduate of Virginia Tech and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he joined his father running the family business, Becker Lumber Company. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eleanor Becker; children, Cheri Becker, Leslie Suttle, Ellie McDaniel and husband, David, W. Guy Becker, III and wife, Karen and Reynolds Becker and wife, Beverly; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Heffner of Clinton, SC and a brother, Reynolds Becker of Richmond, VA. A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Southlawn Memorial Park in the Mausoleum. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of W.G. Becker, Jr. to Virginia Tech Athletics Fund, P.O.
