Jr. H Barrett

James Henry Barrett, Jr., of Chester, went to be with the Lord on Friday June 17, 2011. James was employed by Phillip Morris for over 35 years before retiring in 2008. He was a member of Gill Grove Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school and was a dedicated servant of the Lord. He was the son of Marilyn Gray Coalson Barrett and the late James Henry Barrett. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Pamela A. Barrett, sons: James A. Barrett and wife Kelly of Petersburg, Jason H. Barrett and wife, Heather of Chesterfield, daughters; Jenny L. Riley and husband, Michael of Dinwiddie, Jessica G. Brothers and husband, Jason of Chesterfield, 9 grandchildren; James McKenzie Barrett, Emily Winter Barrett, Justin Tyler Barrett, Coalson Hunter Barrett, David Ray Riley, Joanna Lynn Riley, Ava Madelyn Barrett, Michael James Riley, Katelyn Anne Barrett, and number 10 on the way, sisters; Dorothea Carol Smith, Brenda Joyce Carroll, Theresa Ann Cook, Marilyn Darlene Bishop, brother; Timothy Mark Barrett, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday June 19, 2011 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held Monday June 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Gill Grove Baptist Church with Pastor John A. Brothers officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to Gill Grove Baptist Church 10726 River Road Chesterfield, Virginia 23838, for the Family Life Center.
