Jr., H. Baugher

Oscar Henry Baugher, Jr. M/Sgt, (Ret) 75, of Hopewell, died, February 28, 2005 in John Randolph Medical Center. Mr. Baughter was born in Urbana, MD. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII, Korea and the Vietnam Conflict, a retired Deputy Sheriff for the City of Hopewell, a member of the VFW Post 637, the American Legion Post #146, Fraternal Order of Police, and a former Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Baugher was the son of the late Oscar Henry and Emma Symarian Cecil Baugher, Sr., Surviving are his wife Glenda Llewellyn Baugher of Hopewell, two daughters, Diana B. McBride and husband Ray of Darlington, SC., Patsy Susan Warthan and husband Randy of Prince George, three sons, Robert E. Baugher and wife Cathy of Fremont, Ca., Steven M. Baugher of Portsmouth, Va., and William C. Baugher of Hopewell, eleven grandchildren, five brothers, Leonard Baugher and wife Pat of Dunnellow, FL., Austin Stitely and wife Mary of Frederick, MD., Richard Stitely and wife Ruth of Martinsburg, WV., James Stitely of Kearneysville, WV., and Robert Stitely of Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 7-8 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 4, 2005 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Phil Andrews, associate pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George.
