Jr., K. Hendricks

William Knox Hendricks, Jr., 68, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012. He was retired from Honeywell after thirty years of service as an operator. Mr. Hendricks worked for the Hopewell News for ten years. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Mr. Hendricks was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, William K. Hendricks, Sr. and Dorothy Foxworth Hendricks; and a brother, John Wayne Hendricks. Mr. Hendricks is survived by his wife, Doris Hendricks; son, William Wayne Hendricks; daughter, Melanie Scott and her husband, Bryan; three grandchildren, Karah Scott, Lauren Scott, and Ashton Hendricks; brother, Pastor Ken Hendricks and his wife, Carol; sister, Beckie Parmenter and her husband, Jim; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Woodlawn Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the church, with Pastor Ken Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
