Jr. L. Morter

Robert L. Morter Jr., of Chester, VA died on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006. Mr. Morter was born in Buena Vista, VA and was a retired textile engineer with Allied Chemical Company. He attended Powers Memorial Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA for over 35 years. He is survived by a wife, Dorothy M. Morter of Chester. A sister, Donna M. Guthrie of Martinsville, VA. A daughter, Jeanie W. Crawford of Chester. Two grandchildren, Doug Crawford & wife Angie and Lori Edwards & husband Mason, both of Chester. Two great grandchildren, Jordan & Macy Edwards of Chester. Four nephews, Grant Guthrie, Ben, David, & Danny Cook, and niece, Meribeth Cook. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Thursday, January 5th from 6 to 8p.m. where funeral services will follow on Friday, January 6th, at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
