Jr., Leslie Calder

Earl Leslie Calder, Jr. 69, died peacefully at home Saturday August 18, 2012, with his wife by his side. He courageously battled cancer and continued to make people smile with his quick wit and quirky personality until the Lord called him home. Earl was born in Petersburg Hospital on August 24, 1942 to Grace Stewart and Earl Calder, Sr. Mr. Calder was a truck driver and loved to fish and ride motorcycles. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Carol Ann Calder; daughter, Angela Woodruff of Midlothian and her daughter Lauren; son, Charles Wingo of Chester, and his children Kaleb and Hailey; son, David Wingo and his wife Beverly of Chester and their children Deklan and Corinne; son, Earl Patrick of Chester; daughter, Leslie Powell and her husband Billy of Chester, and their children, Will and Alexis; Stepchildren, Dwayne Brooks and Belinda Nimmo. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Byrd Presbyterian Church, 2229 Dogtown Rd. Goochland, Va. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. There will be a gathering for family and friends in the church social hall after the interment.
