Jr. M. Tucker

Robert McIlwaine Tucker, Jr. 86, of Colonial Heights, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Medical College of Virginia. He was the son of the late Robert McIlwaine Tucker, Sr. and Hattie Jordan Perkins. He was preceded in death by his two sisters Frances Belle T. McLaughlin and Ruth Marie T. Parham. He was a veteran who served in World War II for the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Post #284 Colonial Heights American Legion and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church He is survived by his wife, Gloria B. Tucker of Colonial Heights; daughter, Jo Ann Tucker of Chesterfield; son, Steve Allen Tucker of Colonial Heights; brother-in-law, Oscar Parham and wife, Pat of Chester, beloved dog, Samantha and numerous extended family. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, January 2, 2009 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Colonial Heights. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Service & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery.
