Jr. M. Turner

Henry M. Turner, Jr., 72, of Colonial Heights, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011. Born in Petersburg, he was preceded in death by his parents; Henry M. Turner, Sr. and Mary Little Turner, fiancée Mary M. Quick, step-daughter Cheryl Q. Batten and a step-son Bobby Quick. He was a retired employee of Blandford Cemetery and a member of Walthall Baptist Church for over 30 years. Mr. Turner is survived by a sister, Mary G. James and husband, Tommy of Dinwiddie; step-son, Thomas Quick; granddaughter, Angela M. Quick; great-granddaughter, Courtney Quick all of Colonial Heights; nephews, Thomas L. James, Jr., William â??Billyâ? James and wife, Wanda, Johnny â??Daleâ? James; great-nieces, Kim and Kristina James; great-great-nephews, Michael Cox, David and Aziah Figueroa all of Dinwiddie; special friends; Shirley and Bobby Bradley and family, Warren Mawyer, numerous cousins and extended family members. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Pastor George Schutte officiating.
