Jr. "Ricky" C. Laing

Richard Carl â??Rickyâ? Laing, Jr., 17, of Disputanta, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Thomas Eure, Sr. Ricky loved music, football and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his parents Richard Carl Laing, Sr. and Honey Sue Eure Laing; sister, Hannah Mae Laing, paternal grandparents, Robert and Judy Laing; maternal grandmother, Nora Eure; great grandmother, Avildia Laing; aunts, Tina Price and her husband, Steve, Cyndi Drust and her husband, Mike, Debbie Harris and Shon Muse; uncles, C. Thomas â??My Tomâ? Eure, Jr., Joe Baldwin; cousins, Mary Gwaltney and her husband, Jason, Melanie Price, Joseph Baldwin, Haley Baldwin, P.J. Dodds, and Maddy and Heidi Gwaltney; and numerous great uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September, 29, 2010 from 6-8PM at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Wakefield Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wakefield.
