Jr. W. Finnell

John W. Finnell, Jr. of Chester, VA died on July 16, 2009. He was born on December 27, 1953 in Japan. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Threlkeld Finnell. He was preceded in death by his father, LT COL John W. Finnell, Sr. and his sister, Linda Jo Finnell. John was a graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and received a Masterâ??s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He taught music both on the college level and privately. He also played the trumpet in the Richmond Concert Band. A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T.
