Everett â??Ookieâ? Warren Mayton, Jr., age 85, of Colonial Heights, passed away on March 3, 2011, after a period of declining health. He was born in Pittsburg, PA, the son of the late Everett Warren Mayton, Sr. and Stella Marie Goulder Mayton. Everett was a Foreman for Titmus Optical early on and later, the owner operator of E.W. Mayton Transfer and Storage. He was an avid sportsman, exceptional baseball player during his day, and loved following all sports He is survived by a daughter Gwen Mayton Burrow & husband Billy, grandsons, Eric Warren Gay and Brandon Earl Burrow all of Colonial Heights, granddaughter, Mandy Villalobos & husband, Julio, of Grand Rapids Michigan, sister, Phyllis Hoch & husband, Artie of Raleigh, NC, nephews, Arthur Hoch & wife, Jane of Raleigh, NC, and Scott Hoch & wife Sally of Orlando, Florida. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
