Leo Walter â??Butchâ? Bulifant, Jr., 50, went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2007, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. Born November 23, 1956, he was the son of the late Leo W. Bulifant, Sr., and Nancy Logan Bulifant. Butch had worked as a deckhand on the Jamestown Ferry and for Labor Ready in Newport News, VA.
He is survived by his sister, Robbie Lynn B. Stewart and her husband Robert, and his uncle, Charles W. Bulifant, Sr., and his wife Millie. Butch was predeceased by his brother, Kenneth W. Bulifant.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Purviance Chapel, J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Wakefield, VA. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Surry, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Butchâ??s memory may be made to Purviance Funeral Home, P.O. Box 727, Wakefield, VA 23888, to assist with final expenses.
