Juanita Showalter Martin, 85, of Chester, VA., went to her heavenly home, Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
She was born in Iron Gate, VA on January 3, 1934 and grew up in Clifton Forge, VA, where she graduated from Clifton Forge High School in 1952.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Sale and Dolly Anna Nicely Showalter; sisters, Doris Paxton and Betty Lou Morris; her brother, Leigh Peter Showalter.
During her working life she worked for the FBI in Washington D.C. and the Office of Personnel Management in Dallas, TX. She also worked for several private companies and volunteered at churches she attended. During her life, she lived in Warrensburg, MO, where she attended Central Missouri State University, she also lived in Frankfurt, Germany, Alexandria, VA, Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA before retiring in Chester, VA
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James D. Martin; daughter, Kristal Anne Moore (Andy); and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. The family will receive friends, one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
