Juanita Keene Summers, 78, of Colonial Heights, formerly of Petersburg, died Saturday, November 12, 2005 in Chippenham Medical Center. She was born in Washington, D.C. and was the daughter of the late Arthur Grey Keene, Sr. and Nellie Walter Keene. Mrs. Summers was a talented artist, actress and writer and worked in the TV and Radio industry. She was co-founder of the Great Falls Community Players and in 1946 she was active in the production of Richard III at George Washington University. She is survived by three children, Virginia Elizabeth Summers and her husband, Frederic L. Boisseau of Colonial Heights, William Keene Summers of Reston, VA and his former wife, Patricia Stich Summers of Richmond and Georgiana Mignon Summers of Marshall, VA; two grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Summers and William Arthur Summers; brother, Arthur Grey Keene, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of St. Helena Island, SC; and a nephew. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with the family receiving friends afterwards until 8:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Ivey Hill Cemetery, Upperville, VA.
