Judy Elaine Hathaway

Judy Elaine Hathaway, 69, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, May 4 2017. Born in Wilson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Rubert Hathaway and Ora Mae Dawson Hathaway. She is survived by her son, Jerome “Jerry” Thornton, Jr.; daughter, Angela Thornton Johnson; grandchildren, Jazmin, Brandon, Jade Thornton and Jacob Johnson; siblings, Dennis Hathaway (Carroll), Gene Hathaway (Della), Kathy Moring (Donald) and Glenn Hathaway (Toni); nieces, Kimberly Fulcher, Dana Noto, Natalie Pennington, Jennifer McCall, and Stephanie Hathaway; nephews, Joseph Mann, Jeff Hathaway and Travis Hathaway; devoted cousins, Janice Holley (Willie), Ray Dawson (Gladys), June Bethea (Lee) and Jackie Browder (George); special friends, William Stump, Kaye Hendrick, Wanda Hairfield and Teresa Donahue; co-workers at Chesterfield County Utilities; and numerous extended family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at MCV ICU Respiratory Unit. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
