Julia M. D'Arcy

Julia Mansell d’Arcy, 94, of Chesterfield, VA peacefully passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013. Beloved wife of her late husband Robert Fulton d’Arcy and loving mother of Ronald d’Arcy and wife Claire of Naples, FL and Gerald d’Arcy and wife Diane of Wappingers Falls, NY; daughters, Barbara Post and husband Sidney of Fayetteville, NC and Joan Phares and husband David of Chesterfield, VA. She was a proud grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 10. Julia was preceded in death by her three sisters, Helen Cullen, Betty Montanya and Lillian Wathen and brother Thomas Mansell. Julia’s happiest times were spent with her family and enjoying a good book. She loved people and always saw the best in family and friends. Her kind and gentle nature will be missed by everyone who knew her. Please join the family in a memorial service to celebrate Julia’s life on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home 5 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. with visitation immediately following until 8 p.m. She will join her husband at Amelia Veteran’s Cemetery, Amelia, VA. at a later date.
