Julia Hudson Depoy

Julia “Jewel” Hudson Depoy, 88, of Temple Terrace, Florida and formerly a resident of Dinwiddie County, Virginia, passed away on April 5, 2014. She was born in Union Level, Virginia, on May 22, 1925. She was the daughter of the late James Corbett Hudson and Ellie Roberts Hudson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William D. Depoy and a step son, William D. “David” Depoy, Jr. Mrs. Depoy is survived by her daughters, Linda W. Eade (Raymond) of Easley, South Carolina, and Celeste Depoy-Bryant of Temple Terrace, Florida; a son, Michael A. White of Blairs, Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Gary Hudson of Tennessee; and sisters, Nell Hudson Frye, of Prince George County, Virginia, Mary Edmonds, of La Crosse, Virginia, and Gloria Conner of St. Augustine, Florida. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home immediately following at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
