June Evelyn Deeds

June Evelyn Deeds, 85, of Grove Ave. in Petersburg, passed away on March 6, 2014. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Florence Wilson Barron; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Deeds; and her sister, Ella Pauline Randolph. She is survived by her two daughters, Margaret Humphries and husband, Willie, and Patsy Edwards; three sons, Gerald Deeds, Robert Deeds and wife, Norma, and Clifford Edwards; nine grandchildren, Leroy, Michael, Daiton, Robert Jr., Jennifer, Joey, Vicky, Gerald Ray and Sammy Jr.; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Congdon, officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
