June Harris

June Carroll Harris, 78, of Hopewell died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 in Riverview on the Appomattox. She was born in Kingsport, TN and had been a resident of this area for 60 years.Mrs. Harris was a member of the Red Hat Society of Petersburg, an honorary member of Calvary?s Love Ministries and a retired operator for Allied SignalCorporation. She was the daughter of the late Charles & Leigh Smith Carroll. Mrs. Harris is survived by two daughters, Joni Woodard Kelley of Ruther Glen, VA, Tammy H. Temple of Disputanta, VA, four sons, John Richard Woodard, Jr. of Prince George, Joseph Carroll Woodard of Oklahoma City, OK, Charles Walter Woodard of Richmond, and Charles Edward Woodard of Mechanicsville, VA, 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two sisters, Hazel Carroll of Bradenton, FL and Dot Holden of Gloucester, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 9, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Friday, March 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, with Rocky Shearin of Calvary?s Love Ministries officiating.
