June Purdy

June Edens Purdy, of Chester, died Monday, July 19, 2004. She was the daughter of Louise Edens and the late Richard A. Edens. She was predeceased by C.J. “Kip” Purdy. Besides her mother, she is survived by her son, Randall Purdy and two daughters, Jill Purdy Perlstein and husband, Mark and Janet Purdy; brother, Richard L. Edens and wife, Joy and family and other family and friends. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2004 at the Chester Presbyterian Church. Interment to follow at Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 22, 2004 from 7-9:00 PM at the J.T. Morriss & Son Chesterfield Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bensley-Bermuda Rescue Squad, 2500 Rio Vista Street, Chester, VA 23831.
