Justin MacNeil Smith (“Mac”), resident of Chester, Virginia passed away on September 7, 2018 at the age of 43 years. Mac was born June 10, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Chester. He graduated from Thomas Dale High School, attended Virginia Tech, and received a degree from Liberty University.
At the time of his passing Mac was the Accounting and Finance Director for Virginia Manufacturers Association. The Association described Mac’s impact on their organization as “simply immeasurable”.
Mac was a well-known Rappahannock Rivah Rat who loved nothing more than being at the cabin with his family. His latest goal was to teach his beloved daughter Mia how to crab.
Mac brought life and love to everyone he touched and will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary, his daughter Mia, his mother Nancy Jessup (Warren), his sister Celena Waller (Ray), his nieces Savannah and Marli Waller, brothers Brad Graves and Dave Jessup and their families, his cousins and his many, many, many friends. Mac was predeceased by his father, Tommy Smith.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday September 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd Chester, VA. In lieu of flowers, information will be available at the memorial for those who would like to donate to Mia’s trust fund through Virginia Manufacturers Association.
