Kaaren Grubich Gilbert

Kaaren Grubich Gilbert, 75 of Hopewell, VA passed away, Saturday, December 23, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Mauer Grubich. She is survived by her loving sons, David Gilbert and Ricky Gilbert; grandchildren, Chelsea Gilbert, Brooke Gilbert and Brayden Gilbert; brother, Michael Grubich and wife Linda. Kaaren retired as a Supervisor from Allied Chemical after over 30 years of service; after retirement she was Resident Manager at Riverside Park Apartments in Hopewell, VA for many years. A graveside service will be held, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Kaaren can be made to your local Humane Society.
