Kandace Melodi Moore

Kandace “Melodi” Moore, 63, of Alberta, VA, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at her home. Born in Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter of the late William “Sarge” Ney and Barbara Gail Morris Ney. She is survived by her husband, David Lynn Moore; children, Brandy Bestul of Madison, WI, Phillip Roloff of Sparta, WI, Adam Byrd of Lincolnton, NC, and Billy Byrd also of Lincolnton, NC; step-daughters, Cindy DeVane of Dinwiddie, VA, Linette Radford of Prosperity, WV, and Patricia Moore of Dinwiddie, VA; grandchildren, Tristan Huebner, Tymber Huebner, Carter Roloff, Ellie Bestul, Sheridon Lornson, Vince Byrd, David Pierce, Emily Pierce, Chelsea Corkrean, Hanna Corkrean, Branden Lewis, Heaven Rotsolk, Ciara Rotsolk, and Trinity Dunbar; two great-grandchildren, Braelynn Rotsolk and Everleigh Young; a brother, William Kim Ney of St. Petersburg, FL; and a sister, Robin Rich of Houston, TX. Kandace worked at Walmart Distribution Center for over 20 years. She was a very family oriented person who was always smiling. She enjoyed knitting, making Christmas ornaments for her family members, watching history shows and spending time at Lake Gaston. A celebration of Kandace’s life will be planned for next spring.
