Karen Ann Mertz

MERTZ, Karen Ann, age 58, of Bracey, Virginia, was carried to her home in Heaven on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Karen was born on August 24, 1962, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
She lived most of her life in Prince George County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna G. and John A. Mertz. She is survived by two brothers, John M. Mertz and David W. Mertz; and several nieces and nephews. Karen had an infinite love for both children and animals, especially cats. She was a member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge, where she enjoyed the fellowship and food. Karen’s family would like to thank the ICU nurses, doctors and chaplain at VCU Community Memorial Hospital, South Hill, for the compassionate care they provided her in the final stage of her life.
