Karen Lynn Blade Reed

Karen Lynn Blade Reed, 56, of Chesterfield, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Blade; and a brother, Morris Blade; Karen is survived by her daughter, Erica Dorsey (Manuel); son, Charles Wells (Courtney); three grandchildren, Melanie Dorsey, Carter Wells, and Madison Wells; mother, Elaine Blade; brother, Stevean Blade; five sisters, Kimberly Blade, Sherra Kay Flowers, Charlotte Tompkins, Angela Smith (Michael), and Destiney Lee; companion, Jerry Wells; and numerous other extended family and friends. Karen was employed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons retiring after 25 years. She loved traveling and enjoyed going on cruises. She will be missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday November 27, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 13721 N. Enon Church Rd Chester, VA 23836.
