Karen Verlander

Karen Phelps Verlander, 52, of Colonial Heights, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of Donald H. Phelps and the late Patricia Ogburn Dean. In addition to her father, Mrs. Verlander is survived by her husband, Glenn Verlander; son, Christopher Verlander; of Colonial Heights; daughters, Katie Verlander of Colonial Heights and Heather Verlander of Mechanicsville; brother, Brian Dean of Midlothian. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20th, at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
