Karl Schmidt

Karl Heinz Schmidt, age 78, of Colonial Heights, died Wednesday, September 7, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy Ann Schmidt; daughters, Rosemary Thompson, Mary Ann Schmidt (Richard); grandchildren, Kristina Jones (Bobby), Angela Brooks (Walter), Karl Lee Brekke (Krystal), Thaila and Daniel Johnson, Joe and Morgan Karpinski; and 13 great-grandchildren. Karl was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing as well as coaching softball. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2011 from 7-9 pm in the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
